Welcome to my forest.

My name is Cam. This is my little hypertext garden for thoughts, feelings, research, notes, and other various musings that I find might be worth keeping; complete with lots of arboreal references and hidey-holes.

This space is my way of grabbing ahold of my thoughts with two hands; hanging onto them instead of letting them slip by without observation. I have kept a journal for a number of years now, but as this will be my attempt to building a digital version.

I am currently working on developing a deeper understanding of markets and their underlying mechanics, both personally and professionally as a desk trader at Charles Schwab. Markets serve as an interesting metaphysical representation of human behavior as a whole and is worth study from more than a purely economical perspective.

Additionally, there is something incredibly fascinating to me about human Language. Not only in the spoken and written sense, but also in its history. Our very reality may very well be rendered according to our ability to send and receive messages verbally and non-verbally; both with other humans and to our internal consciousness and subconsciousness. While I would consider this a more abstract area of study of me, I find it a suitable companion to my other areas of exploration in philosophy and physics.

I suppose, in a broader sense, I am deeply interested in ontology of systems and how by the process of “trying to understand” we develop as good, rational, human beings. While, I am a laymen (at best) in anything I write about here, I know that I would personally find it interesting to see someones process of fleshing out their thoughts, exploring new ideas, and grappling with difficult concepts. That’s whatI want to share in the open here.

All that being said, there is no system of organization or direct navigation within these pages. The aim of this site is to allow any properties or structures to be emergent as these thoughts and paths develop. (see: the graph view on any page)
